More bottles

 Hello, reader!

Lately, I have been obsessed with smaller bottles, apothecary items, and such. Of course, I hardly deviate from what I'm used to when it comes to painting glass items, nevertheless - these smaller bottles were a challenge on their own due to their sheer size.

As you can see, once again I was inspired by the world of whimsical creatures, fairy tales, maybe this time some witchy aesthetics as well. And butterflies, of course!

Lively, bright colours are definitely up my alley when it comes to handicrafts, although in real life I'm much more basic with my clothes or makeup. I tried to produce variations in colour and add a touch with different embellishments.

These bottles are from 9.5 to 13 centimetres in height. They are available for sale here.

Thank you for visiting!

Until next time...

 Hello, reader!

There is no better autumn representation than this little fella, so full and sleepy and cozy.

Diameter 11 cm

Materials: paper clay, acrylic paints, and water-based varnish.

Available here.

I enjoy a little humour in my creations!

It smelt like autumn so I sculpted mushrooms

 Hello, reader!

After a genuinely exhausting heatwave that lasted for a month or longer, we have finally had some nice, much milder weather for the past couple of weeks. Inevitably, the autumny feels kicked in.

I usually take the following to be the signs of autumn coming:

I heat the water and milk for my coffee,

I begin to acknowledge the existence of herbal teas,

my kid is back to school so we all have to get up early,

but the biggest sign of autumn is, actually, how everything smells differently. Everything smells like woods.

Not the biggest nature goer this one here, I'll admit, but autumn to me smells like bark and bird nests. And fungi. I picture them, then draw them and paint them. So, I made some mushroom figurines. One is like a Halloween witch but cute, and two are inspired by the starry night theme (more than the famous painting of the same name).

The blue one got adopted straight away, so I went and made another one, but this one opens and can be used for small jewelry pieces:

If you'd like any, please visit my Etsy shop.

The autumn inspiration has only just hit me, so stay tuned.

Until next time...

Meetze in teapots pt. 4

 Hello, reader!

This Meetze hanging ornament is particularly dear to me because I went with painting the animal in dark colours for the first time. And, in my opinion, it turned out great!

I will definitely repeat this with some of my future figurines.

As always, the ornament is from paper clay, painted with acrylics, and sealed with water-based varnish. It is 12 cm tall.

The ornament is for sale and you can buy it here.

I want to make more Meetze in teapots and now I'm thinking about different combinations. Let me know in the comments if you have any ideas to spare!

Until next time...

Spooky and cute

 Hello, reader!

Not done with the Halloween decoration :) I have more pumpkins to show you. I made these for myself, having the colour scheme of our dining room in mind. I'm thinking - they can lay on our table if no one else will like them, to me they are perfect!

It's funny how this black and gold combination prevails in parts of my home, just like it has at my parents' house. I think that the older I get the more I am inclined to things that remind me of past times.

These pumpkins are 5 to 6 cm (1.95 to 2.35 in) high. They are made from paper clay, painted with acrylics, and coated with water-based varnish.

I did list them on my Etsy, so if you fancy them - check them out. I can always make more!

Until next time...

Painted with acrylic paints and sealed with water-based varnish.
